Lee Cattermole: Hopes to be fully fit by the start of next season

Cattermole went under the knife last month after an injury-plagued campaign, ruling him out for the final part of this term.

He is still on crutches but the surgery was successful and the target is now to be fit for the start of next season, and the midfielder is ready to work hard in his rehabilitation rather than enjoy a relaxing summer.

"It's no golf or summer holidays for me, but I'll look forward to getting back next season," Cattermole said in the Daily Mirror.

"I've got another couple of weeks on the crutches then hopefully I'll be back in full training when the lads come back for pre-season.

"My operation went well and my knee's in good condition. I was getting pain there when I was playing and it wouldn't go away so I decided to get it done."

stark contrast to Neymar's treatment at Barca his first year. He was brushed off to the flank and told to stay there. I thought it was a bit harsh from Martino to margianalize Neymar like that, but good grief, it's better than woshipping him like his national team does.

When did we start getting the idea that football was an entertainment business? It's about winning and winning alone. We also have some defences of Louis van Gaal...

Do England Need Scholes, Lineker Etc?

They've all got ideas about where things are going wrong, so why don't they step up and help? Plus, we have lots of fall-out from the dullness of Holland v Argentina...
