Lita has already been loaned out to Birmingham this campaign, where he scored three goals in nine starts.

But the 28-year-old has now been given the chance to impress at Wednesday and is available for the trip to Charlton on Saturday.

Former England U21 international Lita has scored 105 goals in 217 starts during stints with a string of clubs, including Bristol City, Reading and Middlesbrough.

Lita joined Swansea from Boro for £1.75million in August 2011 and will now give Owls boss Dave Jones further options in attack as they look to pull away from the Championship relegation zone.
