Derek Adams: Thrilled with first derby win of season

County beat Inverness 1-0 to shatter Caley's hopes of a place in the Europa League qualifying stages.

And Adams, whose side's European hopes ended with defeat at Motherwell seven days earlier, took great satisfaction from their first win in six derbies this season.

"We dominated the match and were unfortunate not to have won by a greater margin," he said.

"It's a nice way to finish the season. We wanted to win the Highland derby and we are delighted we have been able to do that.

"Obviously Inverness are going to be disappointed because we have burst their beach ball.

"It's been a fabulous season for us to finish in fifth position.

"There have been a few comments from Inverness players before the game and I had to laugh at them. Sometimes you don't say anything until the end."

ever ceases to amaze me when ex players come out with comments like that. Clearly they have zero interest in the best interests of a club that provided them with a living to be making such idiotic and boorish comments as that. Shame on you Jimmy Case.
