Nadir Ciftci: Dundee United striker charged by the SFA

Ciftci was sent off after reacting angrily to a Richie Foran tackle on Gary Mackay-Steven and the incident sparked a melee between the two sides that resulted in Inverness boss Terry Butcher being sent to the stands along with United coach Darren Jackson.

United are appealing Ciftci's dismissal - but have been hit by the news the Turkish striker faces two further charges and could be banned for between eight to 16 games.

Scottish Football Association compliance officer Vincent Lunny cited Ciftci for grabbing Inverness defender Graeme Shinnie's face and also grabbing assistant referee Gavin Harris by the throat.

Ciftci has until Friday afternoon to accept or decline the offer, if he denies the charges then his case will be heard by the judicial panel on November 7.

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
