Doherty made 22 appearances after joining the Shakers on October 3, while fellow defender Ebanks-Landell featured eight times for Kevin Blackwell's men.

The League One club are under a transfer embargo while they repay a short-term loan from the Professional Footballers' Association and they remain in negotiations with the Football League over whether they can extend the stays of Leeds midfielder Zac Thompson and forward duo Tom Hopper and Troy Hewitt from Leicester and QPR respectively.
