Alex Lawless scored just after half-time to win it for the Hatters and they could have won by an even bigger margin, Andre Gray and Jon Shaw both going close

And Buckle felt his side more than matched their higher-ranked opponents in terms of the quality of their play.

"When watching the highlights, people will struggle to pick out the Blue Square Premier side," said Buckle. "They'll see a very good Luton team.

"We have to use this to kick on in the league - we know we have to put a run together.

"We've been in this division for four years and I'm looking for the magic wand to get us into the Football League.

"It was tough for Wolves and, if it's going to be tough for teams like Wolves to come to Kenilworth Road, it gives everyone here a lift. We're working hard and the pleasing thing for me is that the players showed just how capable they are.

"Andre Gray caused them a lot of problems, he seems to be getting better and better every game. People will pay money to watch him play, he's direct and exciting.

"They're on a bad run but Wolves have top players, you can't forget that, and it would be wrong for me to pick one of our players out, because they were all fantastic."
