The 24-year-old Malian international has agreed a season-long loan move which sees him return to Ligue 1 after leaving for Wolves just 12 months ago.

Last summer he signed for Wolves from Rennes on an initial loan, before just months later the club made it a permanent four-year deal.

Now, following Wolves' relegation from the Championship, Doumbia has been allowed to move on.

Meanwhile, Valenciennes are also reportedly trying to sign Monaco's new sinning Borja Lopez on loan.
