Sky Sports revealed last week that Wolves were lining up a move for Golbourne as Kenny Jackett looks to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer window.

The Molineux outfit have now agreed an undisclosed fee with Barnsley and the player has been given permission to hold talks and undergo a medical

Jackett is keen to bring in Golbourne to help fill the void left by Stephen Ward's departure to Brighton.

Golbourne joined Barnsley from Exeter in January 2012 and he has impressed during his time at Oakwell, but it seems he is poised for a move to Molineux after the Tykes reluctantly agreed to do a deal for the 25-year-old.
