Ismail's initial month-long stay at the Pirelli Stadium ended after the 1-0 victory at Morecambe on Saturday, he scored Albion's winning goal, and manager Gary Rowett has moved quickly to secure the 20-year-old for his side's League Two promotion run-in.

Ismail, who has made five appearances for Burton, scoring once and providing three assists, told the club's official website: "It's great to be able to extend my loan spell until the end of the season.

"I've really enjoyed my football since I've been here and all the lads and staff have made me feel really welcome.

"To get the winner on Saturday was brilliant and the fans have given me a lot of confidence.

"We've now got to concentrate on the final third of the season, win as many games as possible and finish as high as we can."
