The loan window, which reopened for Football League clubs shortly after the summer transfer period closed, is to shut next Thursday, with clubs then having to make do with what they have until January.

Speaking from the club's Ryton training ground, boss Robins said: "There's quite a few who need some games so it will be interesting over the next week to see if we get any interest in any of our players who may be available to go out on loan.

"Obviously we'll assess that. There's no good asking me about individuals. It depends on what the interest is, level of interest and who it is people are interested in.

"There's a deadline this time next week, 5pm Thursday, and we'll be looking to get games for one or two if we possibly can do and it might just free up one or two things for me to be able to freshen the squad a little bit going into the Christmas period.

"It totally depends on if there's a level of interest in our players. If that happens it may free up a little bit to freshen it up."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
