Robins: Relishing Spurs clash

The Sky Blues will travel to White Hart Lane to face the Premier League high-fliers on the first weekend of January.

The tie is a repeat of Coventry's finest hour when they triumphed 3-2 over Spurs in the 1987 final to lift the FA Cup.

"This is a really good cup tie," Robins said. "Yes we wanted to be at home, but we now have the chance to play against one of the top sides in Europe who are steeped in FA Cup history and we will be relishing that chance.

"It will certainly be a good day out for our supporters. There are always surprises in the third round of the FA Cup and we have to hope we can be one of them.

"We have been to Arsenal this season and acquitted ourselves well, but we want to avoid a repeat of the scoreline.

"The 1987 cup final was a real classic and I remember it very well indeed. I am sure this will bring back some memories for our supporters."
