Callum Wilson: The Coventry-born striker is hopeful of signing a new deal

The 21-year-old Academy graduate has already bagged an impressive nine goals in nine games for the Sky Bet League One side this season.

And the Sky Blues hot-shot, who has been hampered by a number of injuries, admits that he sees his future at his hometown club.

"I haven't signed yet," said Wilson. "We're still having talks but we're close and it will all be done and dusted soon because it's a good contract."

He added: "I'm Coventry through and through and this is where I want to stay.

"I want to get a house with my family and stuff like that. This is where my future is.

"My main aim after being out for so long with injuries is just to be playing games, so I need to get the minutes on the pitch and this manager is putting the faith in me to give me that and I'm returning that faith with goals."
