Eddie Howe: Goalless end to pre-season

A modest Dean Court crowd saw plenty of football played on the deck but Eddie Howe's 4-3-3 formation did not yield a breakthrough against a side that will replace his in League One next season.

City forward Bobby Reid looked lively in the early stages, going close with a free-kick from 25 yards, before guiding a header just wide.

Mohamed Coulibaly and Marc Pugh responded for the hosts but both saw their efforts blocked by a determined City defence.

Pugh had the Cherries' best chance of the second-half but drilled his shot straight at goalkeeper Frank Fielding, while Ryan Fraser could only fire into the side-netting late on as time got the better of both sides.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
