The former Doncaster man's 34-minute treble helped the Robins to their first three-point haul this season at the 22nd attempt and Emmanuel-Thomas was delighted to reward the fans who kept the faith.

"That one's for the fans," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "This is such a long journey and we know it is going to take hours for them to get back home.

"To have that many come all this way to support us is nothing short of brilliant.

"They have backed us all season and really deserved a win. We are all so delighted that we have given them something to shout about and that they are going home happy.

"It felt great to be able to go over to that side of the ground and celebrate with them afterwards."
