John Marquis: Happy at Fratton Park

The Millwall striker's Fratton Park future was thrown into doubt after he was left out of the squad for the 3-2 win over Exeter on Saturday.

But the 21-year-old insists he has no intention of returning to south London early and wants to fight for his place at Pompey.

He wrote on Twitter: "Just to clear things up, I am still very much a @officalpompey player for the remainder of my loan period!

"I was obviously bitterly disappointed not to be involved at the weekend, but by no means walked out in a strop & there wasn't any disagreement with the manager!

"The plan was to go back @MillwallFC to talk to management & decide what was best for me! This is the reason I was seen leaving with all my belongings at the game on the weekend, just in case I didn't come back!

"If selected I will always put in 100 per cent for Portsmouth's & show a professional attitude selected or not! I hope this clears a few things up!"
