Influential midfielder Moore was expected to be out for four months with a fractured shin, sustained at Fleetwood last month, but Dons physio Mike Rayner now believes he could now return in January.

"A further review of Sammy Moore's scans by his consultant has shown that the crack in his bone is small and stable, and we now expect Sammy to return within the reduced time frame of 10 weeks," he told the Hounslow Chronicle.

Wimbledon beat York City 4-3 after extra-time in the FA Cup on Monday and they could be in line for a dramatic second round clash with MK Dons, who face Cambridge City in a replay.
