Dons boss Neal Ardley has decided to activate the 28-day release clause on the 24-year-old's loan deal, which was due to run until January.

Ardley told the club's official website: "Christian has done really well during his loan. The reason he went out on loan was to regain his confidence and match fitness. Christian seems to have done that and we will talk about where he fits in for us in the coming weeks."

Jolley, who struck five goals in five games at Blue Square Premier leaders Newport, is unlikely to feature in Saturday's squad for the visit of Rotherham as he is carrying an injury knock.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
