Daily Spanish newspaper Sport, which is based in Barcelona, had reported that the 20-year-old would be moving to the Camp Nou in the near future.

Santos have moved to deny the rumours with the release of a short official statement.

"Santos FC denies any possibility of selling Neymar to Barcelona or any other club," the statement read.

"There are no ongoing negotiations.

"The club reaffirm that Neymar has a contract until 2014 and will see it out."

Neymar is the current South American Footballer of the Year, has scored 49 goals in 98 league games for Santos and has sixteen goals in 25 caps for Brazil.
