Martin Skrtel: Settled at Liverpool

The Slovakian has just signed a new long-term deal at Anfield, but still the former Zenit St Petersburg stopper was being linked with a move back to Russia.

Anzhi Makhachkala, who the Reds face in the Europa League on Thursday, were the side said to be showing renewed interest but Skrtel has rubbished the claims.

"I just signed a contract extension with Liverpool. Means that I will remain here. I'm not going to leave Liverpool for another club," Skrtel is quoted by the Sun.

"I'm comfortable at Liverpool and I've been together with this team. So forget about the news I will move to Anzhi."
