Hugo Lloris: Has hinted he could be open to a January move

Lloris has been restricted to just one Premier League appearance since arriving in North London from Lyon in the summer, with manager Andre Villas-Boas preferring Brad Friedel between the sticks.

His outings for Spurs have mostly come in the UEFA Europa League and Carling Cup, with reports suggesting the keeper is growing frustrated with his bit-part role.

While the France international says he has been made to feel welcome at the club, he admits playing regularly is his main priority.

When asked about a possible winter departure or loan move, he told L'Equipe: "I remain a competitor. I want to be on the pitch.

"I feel much at ease at the club, where I have been very, very well received by the players, the fans and people at the club.

"Now you have to ask all those questions (over the No.1 spot) to the coach.

"As I already said, I feel much at ease at the club. Then again, everything is possible."

Frustration

The 25-year-old keeper has so far retained the No.1 spot for France, starting their 2-1 friendly win over Italy on Wednesday night, while he impressed in their World Cup qualifying draw with champions Spain last month.

Manager Didier Deschamps has voiced his concern over Lloris' lack of playing time at club level on more than one occasion, entering a war of words with Villas-Boas over the shot-stopper.

The France boss has spoken out again, telling the Daily Telegraph: "He doesn't play enough at his club and it doesn't sit very well with him.

"His situation is difficult, burdensome, not ideal.

"Returning to the bench after the performance he made with us in Spain is not easy. He cannot be satisfied playing only one game out of two or three."

Deschamps added: "Of course, he would like to play more. He is getting on with it as best he possibly can but obviously he would like to play more."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
