Stephan Lichtsteiner: Happy at Juventus, according to his agent

The Blues were thought to be monitoring the right-back during the summer transfer window and rumours have surfaced they could make a move in January, with French giants Paris St Germain also thought to be interested.

Swiss defender Lichtsteiner has been dropped by coach Antonio Conte for Juve's last two games to fuel speculation he could be heading for the door.

But his agent and brother Marko Lichtsteiner insists there is no weight to the transfer talk.

He told calciomercato.it: "I don't know where these rumours come from.

"Stephan is happy at Juventus: they are first in the league and we hope they get through the (group) round in the Champions League.

"He wants to stay, he has no intention of leaving Turin and there is no reason to do it.

"He has no problems with (the coach). They are two people who have a strong characters and always want to win.

"If the club has other ideas for Stephan, I don't know."

His agent does not expect Chelsea or PSG to make an offer in January but says if they do 28-year-old Lichtsteiner will deal with the situation when it arises.

He said: "I don't think that Chelsea and PSG will advance offers in January, but if a club were to make a proposal to Juventus and they should accept it, we'll talk and evaluate together what to do."
