SAGNA ON HIS WAY?
Oh boy, this isn't going to go down well.
The Daily Mail reports that Bacary Sagna has set his sights on doing one from Arsenal, because he feels 'disrespected'.
And why are his sensibilities harmed so? Well, because he has only been offered a 12-month extension to his current contract and that expires in 2014.
And that contract isn't to his liking either. The Mail reports: 'Arsenal are refusing to improve his current wage of £60,000 a week. Given this will be the defender's final big contract - he is 30 in February - he is looking for a substantial salary increase.
'The club's decision not to offer a long-term deal is thought to be connected to fears over his injury record, having suffered two broken legs in a year.'
LIVERPOOL IN FOR HONDA
This is probably nonsense, but sod you - this is a gossip column. If you want facts, go somewhere else.
The Daily Star reports that Liverpool are mulling over a move for Japanese forward Keisuke Honda, currently doing his thing with CSKA Moscow.
Honda is in the final year of his contract and according to the Star 'is thought to be eyeing the exit door'.
The paper claims: 'Honda has endured a tough time this season, with his coach publicly criticising the midfielder's performances.
'But Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is likely to believe he can coax the playmaker back to his best.'
AVB MOVES FOR MOUTINHO...OR DOES HE?
So, Andre Villas-Boas was at Porto's game with Paris St Germain v Porto the other night, and there are a couple of different explanations as to why.
The Daily Mirror reckons it was to scope out Joao Moutinho, with a view to making a £24million bid for him in January. Moutinho of course nearly joined Spurs last summer.
Of course, one might say that Villas-Boas already knows plenty about Moutinho, so might not have been there on a scouting mission, and he claims it was just to see old friends.
He's quoted as saying: "Whenever Porto are close to the place where I am, I go see them.
"I went to see them last season against Manchester City and took the opportunity to go and see them again against PSG.
"It was a tiring trip, but good to see people that are important to me."
ZENIT WANT FELLAINI
Everton must be preparing themselves for a bid for Marouane Fellaini, but perhaps weren't expecting it from Russia.
The Sun reports that Zenit St Petersburg, moneybags that they are, could be looking at a bid for the big Belgian to pair him with countryman Axel Witsel.
Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen, so with the money that Zenit have behind them, this a) is brilliant news for Everton's bank manager and b) could result in the biggest wang-swinging exercise that football has seen since Dion Dublin did the jive.
A 'Zenit source' told The Sun: "The management expect to strengthen midfield. The signings will be of high quality. Belgium international Marouane Fellaini is on the list. He has clearly proved himself for Everton."
