Portsmouth case adjourned

The court case which will decide the future of Portsmouth has been adjourned until next month.

The League One club remain in administration while prospective new owners Portsmouth Supporters' Trust try to agree a deal to buy Fratton Park from former owners Portpin, who hold the stadium as security.

Portpin have rejected a £2.75m offer, and administrators PKF hope the High Court will force through the sale by agreeing with their preferred bidders' valuation.

But PKF, who fear Portsmouth will be liquidated if the sale of Fratton Park does not go through, have now asked for a delay of 28 days while they "take stock and assess options."

And the presiding judge has agreed to adjourn the case until January 15, although that date is subject to change.

Colin Farmery of the Portsmouth Supporters Trust told Sky Sports News: "It's not ideal but we want to get the right deal for the football club and if it takes an extra day, a week or month I think there is the will to make sure that happens."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
