Michael Owen: Has been linked with move to Australian club Perth Glory

Reports surfaced on Saturday the A-League club, who earlier this season claimed they wanted to sign David Beckham, had their eye on the former England striker.

Owen has struggled to make an impact since joining Stoke on a one-year deal in September after being released by Manchester United, with injury frustrating his start to life with the Potters.

But Pulis, who handed Owen his first start this season in Saturday's FA Cup third-round draw at Crystal Palace, says the 33-year-old is happy where he is.

Pulis added that Perth Glory have not been in touch with any enquiry about the veteran striker.

He told The Sun: "We've had no one contact us about him.

"I think Michael is happy where he is. He's a great kid."
