Wigan have confirmed that they have beaten the snow and today's Premier League match against Sunderland will go ahead.

The Latics revealed the news on their official website: "The club can confirm that today's Barclays Premier League match against Sunderland at the DW Stadium WILL GO AHEAD as scheduled at 3.00pm.

"A plan of action involving DW Stadium staff working through the night was put in place to ensure that today's game would survive the inclement weather conditions.''

Plenty of Football League matches were postponed yesterday but none have been added so far today.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
