Luis Suarez: Celebrates goal for Liverpool

Liverpool have enjoyed playing against Norwich in recent times, and another big win looked on the cards from the moment Jordan Henderson put them ahead in the 26th minute at Anfield.

Luis Suarez increased the Reds' advantage 10 minutes later after a fine dummy by Daniel Sturridge, and Sturridge scored himself just before the hour mark to put the result beyond doubt.

A Steven Gerrard long ranger and a Ryan Bennett own goal added to the misery for Norwich.

Manchester City, meanwhile, closed the gap on Manchester United to four points with a routine 2-0 home win over Fulham, David Silva scoring either side of half-time.

At the other end, Reading climbed out of the bottom three with a 2-1 win at Newcastle, Adam Le Fondre stepping off the bench to score twice after Yohan Cabaye had earlier put the hosts ahead with a free-kick.

Wigan dropped back into the relegation zone after losing 3-2 at home to Sunderland.

They took the lead in the fourth minute through David Vaughan's own goal, but a Craig Gardner penalty and two more goals from Steven Fletcher put the visitors in control before on-loan Manchester United teenager Angelo Henriquez scored his first goal in English football 11 minutes from time to set up a nervy finish.

QPR also claimed a good result in their fight against relegation, Loic Remy scoring on his debut for Harry Redknapp's side at West Ham before Joe Cole scored a second-half leveller to earn the hosts a 1-1 draw.

Swansea, meanwhile, claimed a comfortable 3-1 win over Stoke, Ben Davies scoring his first senior goal before a double from Jonathan de Guzman.

Michael Owen headed home a late consolation to record his first goal for the Potters.
