Swindon made headlines off the pitch this week with the news the club is up for sale but it was business as usual on the pitch as Chris Martin opened the scoring from the penalty spot four minutes after half-time.

Andy Williams doubled the advantage four minutes later and it finished that way after Wes Foderingham saved Matthew Richards' penalty eight minutes from time.

Swindon remain seven points behind leaders Tranmere and second-placed Doncaster, who both won.

Tranmere put a dent in Brentford's automatic promotion hopes with a 2-1 victory at Griffin Park. Andy Robinson's penalty (42) gave the visitors the lead and, although Harlee Dean levelled (50), Adam McGurk popped up with the winner in the 66th minute.

Doncaster kept pace with Tranmere courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Leyton Orient in Brian Flynn's first game in permanent charge.

The former Wales Under-21 boss was appointed until the end of the season this week as a replacement for Dean Saunders and he watched as captain Rob Jones (19), who had been in joint temporary charge, and Chris Brown (53) netted the goals.

Coventry are outside the play-off places on goal difference only thanks to a dramatic 2-1 victory over Oldham.

Matt Smith thought he had earned a point for Oldham when he cancelled out Stephen Elliott's 61st-minute opener a minute from time but James Bailey won it for Coventry four minutes into injury time.

Eddie Howe's unbeaten league run in his second spell as Bournemouth manager was brought to an end after 18 matches as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Walsall.

Sam Mantom opened the scoring for the hosts in the 27th minute, and the lead was doubled from the penalty spot by Will Grigg just before half-time.

Brett Pitman pulled a goal back four minutes after the break and the Cherries were given extra hope when Febian Brandy was sent off in the 73rd minute but another penalty from Grigg (79) secured the points.

Sheffield United dropped a place to fifth after being held to a 1-1 draw by Notts County, Alan Judge heading in 10 minutes from time to cancel out Harry Maguire's early opener.

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
