The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

QPR were "out of their minds" to sign defender Christopher Samba in a big-money move from Anzhi Makhachkala, according to the Russian club's director.
m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.

100k a week at Anzhi is one thing (they are loaded after all) but 100k at QPR, when they're in THAT much trouble and don't look like getting out of it... now that IS crazy. Of course you want to do everything you can to keep your club in the Premier League, but in football these days you cannot afford to do this. 100k a week for a player who is most likely to be in the championship come August is MADNESS. The transfer fee itself was a little bit crazy. There's been some serious money spent at QPR even before Redknapp came in, and now he has spent even more, yet they're still not getting the results they so desperately need - you have to really question what on earth is going on! Contrary to what their league position says, they have got a decent side there and plenty of experience. With all of the other big earners there, you can see them being in some serious trouble financially unless their chairman is happy to throw in mega money next year keeping his clubs heads above water. Does anyone know if QPRs massive squad (especially the big earners) have relegation wage drop clauses in their contracts? You would certainly hope that even last summer, the management team had the foresight to put those in just in case!

How about Christopher Samba was out of his mind to sign for QPR? Unless he doesn't mind playing in the Championship. Those big wages are going to hurt QPR next season.

This whole thing smacks of bad translation. He think that QPR are out of their minds because they're paying Samba almost as much as Anzhi were? So what does that make Anzhi?
