The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

@Macca 07. One of your lot in the mailbox decried the Swansea win because it was only Bradford. Well your lot only beat Cardiff, on penalties. So which is it? Dismiss the League cup and your winless streak goes back as far as Arsenal. You're all mixed up. I suppose with that mixed up David Breantaliker in charge that makes sense though.

@Sylar...7 years no trophies and the future does not look bright for Arsenal unless you invest a sh*t load of money on players which doesn't look like it will happen, so tell me what future has he got to look forward to in an Arsenal jersey. Just like Cesc should have left much sooner. As for Suarez cant honestly say he will stay any longer then next season if we dont qualify for CL and i would not blame him is one of the best players in the world and he deserves the recognition for it. We are still paying for the mess that was the last 4 seasons, during those 4 seasons we lost our only 3 WC players in Alonso, Mashcherano and Torres.

@tokyojoker - so are you saying that Wilshere shouldn't say something positive and be optimistic about what is a considerable goal? As a Spurs fan you'll be bloody happy with a Champs League spot, and same goes for Arsenal fans. Yeah, shame it's another season with no trophies, but when you reset your expectations re-qualifying for the Champs League puts you back amongst the top clubs.

Good player. As Guardiola said though, Barca have lots of players like him in their youth system. He's not all that special. Try to leave the hype for when he actually achieves something in the game.

"We need CL money to keep revenue streams up and also to attract the best players we can". Yes, the "super quality" purchases in recent years have been remarkable.

macca_07: Are you aware of the word 'irony'? A person exposing that Wilshere is 'wasting his talent' at a team that is an ever-present in the Champions League and frequently challenges for the Premier League when his own team have Suarez, Sterling, etc. and are unlikely to see any European action next season at all, even the Europa League, and can only dream of the top four. People in glass houses, etc.

Qualifying for the CL is a must, some fans will say that it could be the kick up the jacksy the team needs, but that is incredibly foolish. We need CL money to keep revenue streams up and also to attract the best players we can. Liverpool have not recovered from their CL absences and it could easily go the same for Arsenal, huge game on Sunday, certainly our most important game of the season. Race for 3rd and 4th is heating up.
