I remember watching him at highbury and thinking that I should remember the moment I watched one of the true greats. Hopefully he will be back one day to once again make a contribution to the Arsenal. If only we had the like of him playing today!

He deserves it, as did Henry. A lot of Arsenal's best history has been in the last 15 years or so, with or without trophies in the last 8 years. So it is no surprise that their are more statues cropping up now than in the past. Surprised they waited so long to make the decision, though. Are they after him to be part of the new coaching team that the supporters seem to want so much?

.His vision, touch and game intelligence was simply breathtaking at times amd one of the finest players to ever grace an Arsenal shirt. One of my hero's as a kid growing up and watching football. I always made sure I was Bergkamp during a round of Wembley singles. (During doubles I would partner 'Gianfranco Zola' aka my mate simon)... what a combo that was!
