Good to see a wide range of understanding comments, fact is, Ben Foster's body couldn't handle being an England International, he was having back strains and International weeks were causing his injuries to get worse, he's had a double hernia operation and that seems to have cured it. So really he's just saved us all 2 years of "Foster Withdraws due to Injury"

I don't trust those sources at Sky sports, until I see and hear from Foster himself I won't believe!

Disappointed in Foster, thought he was better than this. He opted out because he was sick of taking time out to sit on the bench and wanted to spend time with his family, so what's changed? On current form he's probably better than Hart but that's still no excuse really. Oh and for the record, Jamie "I don't care about England" Carragher had absolutely no business going to that World Cup.

@swampdog83, totally agree fella. Its funny how because questions have been raised over Harts form, the next best makes himself available for selection again. Shame Roy won't treat this with the contempt it deserves and leave him out. Forster should be given his chance with Joe sitting on his hands for a few matches. Stand and fight for your chance Ben, don't gib out because you know Hart is 'nailed on'.....

F*** him, he couldn't be bothered before so England shouldn't be bothered with him now or ever.

He is a good goalie but not really sure he should be allowed out of the England bottler box where he nestles gently beside Jamie Carragher.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
