Dissapointed to see Keane in the losers section, whether you agreed with his opinion, or the reasons for it (personally I think he's a tool) it was a piece of genuinely entertaining post match debate, on ITV! We need far more of this, or else as already mentioned we are left with the Shearer style blandness we've all hated for so long.

Nice article but my only disagreement would be that I'd put Keane on the Winners list. Not necessariesly because I agreed with his opinion but just for sheer entertainment value. It makes such a change from being bored to death by Jame Redknapp. I hope United fans don't turn on Keane too much for this, he did a similar thing to us Irish fans after the Henry handball incident. While the whole country was crying and blaming Henry and the Ref,, Keane, was the only one who came out and basically said shut up, and critizied the defenders and blamed the strikers for not takin their chances earlier. It p***ed the whole country off including myself, but looking back on it all these years later,,, Keano was right haha and the Irish fans forgave him

gerard1979, of course he never gave less than 100% when he was a player. Since then, and his unhappy departure (after he started lashing out at fellow players because he could no longer cut it), he has had a bitter vendetta. Superior team? Ah bless, if you're going to troll, at least try and be less obvious.

Keano should be in the winners section, of that there aint no doubt. Complaint after complaint about vanilla commentating & when someone breaks that mould he gets slated for it. The lack of passion is oft bemoaned in our game but its clear to see that whatever kept Keano balanced on that razors edge as a player still burns just as menacingly as a a pundit. Apropos Celtic - patronise all you wish but, having watched both legs Celtic were the better team for probably135 mins. Sure Juve deserved to go through because they took their opportunites but, given a firmer ref & any luck at all the outcome could have been different & justifably so.

Typical Man Utd fans turn on Keane one of your greatest ever players because he has the temerity to say what he thinks!! Whether Keane is right or wrong in his comments on Utd he never gave less than 100% while on the pitch and should be afforded some lee-way. Do you think an equally opinionated person like Fergie would have controversial views if he retired and went on itv? The bottom line is Utd lost to a superior team and squad and bitch and moan all you want but you are only making excuses to hide the lack of class in your squad

Keane may have been right (it is debatable) but it's just as false to imply that, if that did deserve a red, so did a number of other incidents. Welbeck is no Heskey. Just because he doesn't score many, he does a hell of a lot more to bring others in to play than good ol' Emile.

Welbeck's strike-rate may well come in time. After all, what was Cristiano Ronaldo's record in his first three seasons at United? I expected him to be one of those players who gets shipped off to Sunderland but Fergie clearly sees him as important and, having seen his excellent performances against Real Madrid, he might well be right (again).

shabtastic, I have heard that can happen. So traumatised by the injury to his fellow knee, sometimes knees have been known to suffer sympathy injuries. A bit like twins who feel each others pain..........

Two ways of controlling a game of football. One is being in control of the ball. One is being in control of the space. Look at germany when we lost in the world cup (4-1 loss, 45% possession) or Liverpool vs united (4-1, pool had 43% possession). Nobody could argue that united/England were in control of those games but they had more of the ball
