Torres was a brilliant player and could have won the league for Liverpool, but please Rafa stop making yourself look silly, for whatever reason, Torres is finished.

Fernando Torres is now regaining his magic. I am sure he will return to his goal scoring sparks. I have confidence in him. His penalty was super-up despite hitting the crossbar. Kudos Torres!!!

@Varicoseregent. If so, then likes of Ronaldo and Nani for United would need plastic surgery to repair the damage from all the face kicking they would have had...

There may be a few Man United players needing to stock up in tissues and bandages if that's the case ! Most people feel the ref got it right,it wasn't a dive but probably not a penalty either, but then most people don't wear blinkers !

@varicoseregent yeah it was a pitiful attempt, I first thought he'd bloodied his nose by smacking his head into the ground during his dive and had hoped that might knock some sense into him not to try that again. A boot in the face might not do the trick though, sadly, as it'll give him a misplaced sense of injustice.

He tried to con a penalty out of the ref and then got kicked in the nose while lying on the ground. That should be the punishment from now on instead of a yellow card.

It was good to see him step up and confidently take the pen, and lets be honest, 3 inches lower and it would have been a superb pen. BUT he will NEVER be the player he was 3 or 4 years ago, anybody who says he will is deluded...

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
