Caceres involved in accident

Juventus defender Martin Caceres is in hospital after being involved in a car accident in the early hours of Sunday morning, although his injuries are not thought to be serious.

Martin Caceres: The defender is expected to be discharged on Monday

The Uruguayan, who was on the bench during his side's 2-0 victory at Bologna, was travelling in Turin at around 3.20am local time when his Porsche Cayenne collided with another vehicle.

Caceres, 25, is expected to remain at the Maria Adelaide hospital until Monday morning when he will undergo further examinations.

A statement from the Serie A club read: "He arrived in hospital with a cut to the head, which was immediately stitched up, and one to the cheekbone. He did not sustain any fractures.

"Caceres will remain in hospital today and should be discharged tomorrow.

"At the moment the full extent of the injuries is unknown, but in the next hours Caceres will undergo further medical examinations."
