Yaya Toure's agent has claimed that the Ivorian superstar is ready to tell Manchester City he is leaving if a new deal is not concluded by this weekend.
m absolutely disgusted that I've been misquoted in saying that if a chance came up to join Arsenal I would be interested. What I meant to say is if Man United or Chelsea were interested......

s there a PR agency covering Begovich, Odemwingie, Steven Fletcher and Grant Holt or something? Why would you offer a quote like that without having been announced by either club. #headsshoulderskneesandtoesgone

City fans still deluding themselves? The agent is only doing what Yaya has asked him to do...if not, then why hasn't he signed the new deal? Though the irony of City fans moaning about agents....when they're the club that has paid agents the most money is quite frankly laughable and shows how far removed from reality City fans have become! Its gets even funnier when you look at the dross they signed as well, why did City pay agents so much for rejects like Rodwell and Garcia? Its basically bribery isn't it? Yaya knows the owners have the cash, so they will bend over backwards to meet his demands, or he goes elsewhere. Simple. Thats the problem being a small club no one has heard of.

IT IS TREMENDOUSLY SOOOOOOO SAD!!!!Dear Man City fans,If YAYA leaves Man City because of those meaningless requests It'd be shameful & scandal for the entire MAN City world.A Big Loss similar to the one I heard from Barca when they talk about Y.TOURE or S.ETO'O.Everyone knows well that in Man City, there's Y.Toure dependance desease,I mean It.Imagine how winning the trophies has changed the status of the team in EPL & Worldwide at large.I believe, saying Goodbye to Yaya Toure is similar to saying ADIOS to trophies and to every & each virtues earned by the team in recent years in other word, the whole project of the team 'd be an old history.Meanwhile MUTD WILL CELEBRATE!!!!

Sodding agent, its about the 3rd or 4th time in the last two years that Dimitri has been the only voice agitating for a Yaya move. Yaya came out three weeks ago and said he'd stay until retirement.

@irishknight We'll see you in the champions league, oh no we we won't. Perhaps Europa?! Woops, not there either. That's alright, you'll finish above the Toffees?! Oh dear... um, what about The FA Cup?! Not there either..... How about next season. Next season will be the season Liverpool dominate every competition. Enjoy mediocrity for the foreseeable future. In regards to the actual article, Yaya is on contract till 2015. He has recently come out and said he would be more than happy to finish his career at City. He is one of the more pivotal/integral cogs in the City machine and obviously management realize this. Do you know where this story started?! The Sun... The most reputable paper in all the land. The only thing Yaya may be disgruntled about is Kolo not getting a new contract. At least Yaya's agent isn't Kia Joorabichian ;)

Bye then Yaya. Two years left on his current deal, the only way City should renegotiate is if Yaya agrees to fire this idiot with his "negotiation by threats and media". No player is bigger than the club, let him buy himself out and play Jimmy Milner in that role every week, at least he's consistent.

This is disgusting. "Start negotiations with other clubs" while he's still under contract? Yaya has been consistently City's best player, but it seems to me that everyone in the top 5 or 6 teams in England are just mercenaries. Man Utd fans, you're not an exception. Remember that Rooney was ready to leave a few transfer windows ago (to City, no less), and there are rumors that he is again ready to leave as Ronaldo and Beckham did before him.

Just ain't right that this is even possible. Buy out his own contract? How easy would it be for a club to slip him the money, and then get him for free? Absolutely shocking that this can go on.

Firstly - agents are not ruining the game. Absolute tosh. They are simply trying to get their clients ie. the players the best possible deal. The best possible deal is what the market can afford to pay. The reason salaries are so high are because companies like Sky are willing to pay $3 BILLION for the new 3-year TV rights deal. Blame Sky not the agents... Secondly - the money at Man City is astronomical. The fund behind them earns $100 million A DAY from oil. If you were employed by them wouldn't you want a pay rise when your contract is up for renewal?

Maybe it exactly the same wages and everything as his current contract apart from a clause that after the end of every training session, the staff have to clap him as he walks of the training ground. Also, once a week, someone has to leave a note in his locker telling him how special he is.
