Former England, Real Madrid and Juventus manager Capello, 67, has been named as a possible replacement for countryman Carlo Ancelotti, who is a suggested candidate for the current vacancy at Santiago Bernabeu.

Ligue 1 champions PSG have publicly denied allowing Ancelotti to talk to the Spanish club, insisting he remains under contract at the Parc des Princes, and the RFU has today taken a similar step regarding Capello's employment status.

A statement published on www.rfs.ru read: "In regard to the numerous media reports concerning a possible move of Russia's national team coach Fabio Capello to Paris St Germain, the Union officially states that the coach has a contract with the RFU.

"(The contract) runs until after the final stages of the 2014 World Cup, which will be held in Brazil, and Capello is satisfied with his work as the head coach of the national team.

"Based on these facts, the Italian will fulfil his contract until it is completed."

Capello took control of the Russian team in August 2012, four months after leaving his role with England, and the eastern European nation are currently second in their World Cup qualifying group to Portugal.

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
