Swansea created a number of chances especially after conceding the first goal to Alvaro Negredo after eight minutes.

Jonjo Shelvey had two attempts from distance before Jonathan de Guzman missed a great chance moments before the break.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Laudrup refused to let the result dampen his spirits.

Laudrup said: "It may be strange to stand here after losing 3-0 to Man City and say we did so many good things today.

"I think the first half we played really great, we kept the ball and we did it in a very good way.

"In midfield we pressed forward and Shelvey had two shots before de Guzman missed a great chance for us.

"But we know when we play against players like this that some of them can just create a chance or a goal out of nothing and that's what we saw in the second half when Nasri scored the second and third goals."

Swansea thought they might have had a penalty in the first period when Martin Demichelis pulled back Pablo Hernandez in the penalty area, but Laudrup would not be drawn on the incident.

He added: "We are not that lucky recently. We've had a couple of those but I don't want to get into a discussion about the referee."

ait, so now he can get injured when he's not on international duty? It's almost as if his previous injury could've happened at any time and being with the England squad had nothing to do with it.
