Coloccini was forced off with a knee injury during Newcastle's 1-0 defeat to West Brom at the Hawthorns.

The Argentine defender is suspected to have suffered medial ligament damage and Pardew has admitted he could be out of action for six weeks.

The news is a blow for Pardew as fellow defender Mathieu Debuchy also faces a spell on the sidelines after being sent off for a two-footed challenge on Claudio Yacob which is set to see the Frenchman suspended for three games.

"Not only do we lose Mathieu Debuchy [suspended after a red card] but Colo also looks to have done something to his knee," Pardew said.

"It could be four to six weeks."

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
