Pellegrini will end up doing a Benitez-type "facts" rant. Mourinho got the reaction he wanted and will turn up the pressure later in the season.

@isildur1 - nonsense. Pellers has not cracked. It was not a rafa moment. He was relaxed and dismissive of Mourinho's increasingly tiresome Schtick. His response that Chelsea were the "little but rich horse" was witty and by deferring (on the face of it at least) to Mourinho's little horse assessment indicated a reluctance to get drawn further into Jose's less than subtle mind games.

Jose's mind games already getting the gracious and well mannered Pellegrini ruffled. I have admired his way of doing the talking on the field but this just shows Jose's mind games are working on him. What a shame, he was one helluva manager for the last 6 months but I guess he eventually had to crack. Strange how he starts talking like this a few days after losing at the Etihad. And for the people saying Jose's comments are ridiculous and basic, well they're quite clearly not, look at what they've done to the lovely grandmother who is Pellegrini

Jose's comments are so see through and so basic that pointing out the flaws and contradictions would insult whoever is reading this...'Mighty Ducks Emilio Mourinho'...do it for all of us....nonsense

Not sure what makes you think 'everybody' is laughing 'at' Jose. Pellegrini certainly isn't and you won't be when we tear you a new one in a few weeks or so x

Though from what I have heard and read, haven't City outspent everyone by a country mile. I know they have spent 204 mil more than their fellow sugar daddy club in Chelsea. So doubt Pellegrini can claim Chelsea has spent more. It really does make me smile that SAF spent 373 mil less that Shieky in the last 5 years and still managed to beat them to the title last season. Glad I was born during the SAF era.

I have no idea why fans are getting so worked up about what Mourinho says. Chelsea were co-favorites along with City for the title. So everyone and their dog know Chelsea are big players in the title race.

Mourinho is taking pressure off his players. Its makes me smile, coz SAF used to do the same damm thing. Bad performance by team, blame a ref, some bad call, make a big deal about some incident in the game and that would become the talking point, rather than his players getting criticized and getting put under pressure.

e was right to leave, but not just because of the money City were coming into. If I remember rightly he had a reasonable amount of chances to shine at City, but he never passed the bloody ball. Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
