We could maybe have included four or five Southampton players but in the end, restricted ourselves to just two full-backs. But the big question: Raheem Sterling or Adnan Januzaj?

While I think Janusaj is perhaps technically stronger than Sterling, Sterling has so far achieved much more in the game, for his age. It's perfectly reasonable that he sits atop this list at the moment. He's very promising. I just hope he doesn't end up thoroughly reliant on his pace and sacrifice his technical development along the way. Fast players will always be fast for a while, but technical development requires effort and concentration.

Given some of the comments, perhaps @Editor could do a Top 10 of the most purile and pointless accusations levelled at 365 over the last few years. If it was a success then maybe a Purile and Pointless Accusations ladder could be in the offing. With the most offensive accusation being 365 being biased, and the 50th most annoying thing being Phil Neville.

I personally didn't even see it as an ordered list, just a list... After all, it's not unreasonable to say that Shaw is a better player than both Sterling and Januzaj.

Nevermind my more respectful comments before, Sterling is boss Januzaj is crap and I want too see man united fans turn into liverpool fans by being needlessly pissy about an opinion piece amd a list im the comments

I think Sterling's form is highly correlated to his hairstyle. At the start of the season he had terrible haircut, now it looks pretty decent and then boom!

Cheers for the mention of young Chambers, he's come on leaps and bounds this year. Earlier in the season I was touting Nat Clyne for the England right back slot, but now Chambers is forcing him out of the side and forcing me to reconsider. We really are in a very privileged situation for full backs at Saints just now.

I don't know why fans are getting worked up. Moyes has been playing Ashley "swan dive" Young or Antonio "1 trick pony" Valencia the past few games, instead of Januzaj while Sterling is getting an extended run in the team.

Even some Pool fans have mentioned that Januzaj probably has more potential than Sterling. However only time will tell who becomes better. After all, putting in the hours to improve is as important as natural talent. Ronaldo became that good, coz he worked harder than everyone else. Will be interesting to see how many in this list will work hard enough to improve to become exceptional players.

crivens - what a nobhead. So obviously upset that his man didn't get the No 1 spot. Love the thought of people genuinely offended at their keyboards.

Lists are pointless, they are like predictions. Having said that, if Januzaj doesn't turn out to be a better player than Sterling I'll eat my hat. I don't own a hat, but I'll buy one. To recap, lists are pointless, as are predictions, but I predict Januzaj will be higher than Sterling on future lists regarding footballing aptitude.

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

Wenger hails important win

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
