Mourinho, who won one Primera Division title in three seasons in Spain with Real Madrid, is set to take his Chelsea side across The Channel on Wednesday for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

It should be an intriguing encounter at Parc des Princes and Mourinho has stoked the fires with his French counterpart by suggesting winning Ligue 1 was easy.

Blanc said: "Maybe if we're talking about the league and I'm sure that Jose Mourinho knows the French league very well. There are two really big clubs in Ligue 1 (PSG and Monaco), but if I remember correctly, I think it was the same for him in Spain, with Barcelona and Madrid.

"The only answer we want to give is to show a great performance (on Wednesday) and we'd like to show that Ligue 1 has some very good teams and some very good players."

Big-spending PSG have not hidden their admiration for Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Oscar in the build-up to the contest, while David Luiz has also been linked with a move.

Hazard arrived at Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Lille after the Blues' European Cup triumph in 2012 and has enjoyed a stunning second season in London.

"In France we know Eden really well," added Blanc. "We always thought he was very impressive in a one-vs-one situation and how fast he is on his feet and his movement.

"Since he got to Chelsea he has scored more and more goals, creates many dangerous opportunities and I've also noticed that when Chelsea is in a difficult period of the game, he has the freedom to go everywhere in trying to bring the team up.

"He's still very young, he has a lot of room for development and I foresee a very bright future."

Paris St Germain v Chelsea is live on Sky Sports 1HD on Wednesday, kick-off 7.45pm

ew Shaun Wright Phillips, there I've said it. If any club offers stupid money we'd be stupid to say no, he's not a potential worldie by any stretch and I feel that after a few years warming the bench at city or Chelsea he'll be back at QPR smoking sheesha pipes under Harry Redknapp.

f Klopp is available and willing to go there, they have to sign him up. Far better manager than Rodgers. The reason Liverpool fail in so many big games is the inflexible nature of their manager and his inability to find strikers who fit into his inflexible style of play. A feature of nearly every game that the team comes up short is the way the opposition midfield appears to overpower them. It's too easy.

est player award should not go to a player who's second best at all the importent categories (i.e goals, assists etc) just because his team is at the top. If you are not first you are last; if you're second you are the first loser ( looking at you Hazard). David De Gea for POTY.
