Sky Bet slashed the Black Cats chief's odds from 16/1 to 6/4 on Monday but its still considered more likely that there'll be no more managerial casualties (8/11) before the season is through.

Sunderland currently sit bottom of the Premier League and travel to Manchester City on Wednesday night, before a trip to Chelsea on Saturday.

Sky Bet's Dale Tempest said: "We cut Poyet to 12/1 this afternoon but the money just kept on coming even after eventually being backed in to 13/8.

"The flow appears to have been stemmed at 6/4, but as yet we're unsure what's fuelling this sudden interest ahead of their game at the Etihad Stadium."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
