@Synergy Exactly, it's great Giggs is getting these few games but even if he wins them all 5-0 he shouldn't be appointed full time, he may be a great coach, he may be a disaster but the way to find out isn't to get all teary eyed and sentimental by giving him the job full time. Moyes was a sentimental appointment, Fergie clearly let his friendship with Moyes cloud his judgement, the club must be level headed and select the best man available, we just don't have the information, and will not have, before the start of next season to suggest that man is Giggs. As for all the 'he shagged his sister in law' 'jokes' they are all predictable and awful, and I'm not just saying that as a United fan, they're just dreadful, apart from when they signed Andy Carroll, I've yet to see any evidence of the 'famous scouse humour'.

No problem with this as long as its a temporary gig and United don't bow to public pressure (assuming 4 wins) and give them the gig on a permanent basis.

As Tim Sherwood proved, you can initially reinvigorate the players, however in the long run you need a lot of tactical and strategical nous as well as experience in dealing with prima donnas in the dressing room. We badly need a coach to install a passing philosophy and that coach isn't Ryan Giggs.

Jobs for the boys. Turning into a bit of a circus this. The next manager would be an idiot if they kept on all four of the "Class of 92". I wonder if that's stopping Van Gaal from taking over for fear of more meddling from Fergie in the background. I am starting to understand why Van Gaal might want a Keane as an number two, as crazy as the idea first sounded.

what a circus....As a Pool fan, this is just great....the more the merrier. The blind leading the blind, this could even be better and funnier than having Moyes in charge!

Giggs is only asking the lads whose wife he fancies.

As long as it's only until the end of the season. I've no problem with club legends being given coaching roles at the club, but not with the first team, they should have to prove themselves with the youth team/reserves under supervision of proven coaches first, then if they show they're good enough, make the step up, otherwise you end up with a bunch of mediocre coaches that you can't get rid of because they're too intertwined with the club and it gets very messy. Presumably the new man, whoever he may be, will now bring in his own men anyway so this won't last.

Bring back the magic of '92! Have Sir Alex, GNev and Becks back as well, and play them all (with current squad as filler) in the last 3 games. I bet it'll be more entertaining than what they have now.

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
