couldn't agree more solskjaer99. media and most pundits talking sh*te about giggs. LVG is the man for 2 or 3 years then someone else before giggs can even get a sniff of the job.

The best thing for the club is to let Van Gaal do what he thinks will bring success to the club, if that involves the 'class of 92' that's OK, if he deems them surplus to requirements, so be it, there is no room for sentimentality in sport, Fergie's career shows that the team must come first, not individuals. This isn't a Moyes scenario where a bunch of proven, world class coaches, were ditched in favour of inferior/unproven alternatives. Van Gaal has done enough in football to have earned the right to work with who he wants to work with, he needs total control, he must be allowed to manage on his terms and I won't shed any tears if none of the class of 92 are involved, after all, what have they done as coaches? Their achievements as players are totally irrelevant, their qualities as players do not necessarily translate to management. There are plenty who are 'certain' Giggs will be United manager in future, based on what exactly? Fergie's recommendation? Have you forgotten Moyes already? The fact that he's supposedly spent years learning from Fergie? So had Bryan Robson, Bruce, Hughes, Keane, Brian Kidd, they're all mediocre at best as managers. His leadership qualities as a player? Again, Keane/Robson/Bruce/Hughes were all leaders as players. Giggs may be a top manager but no-one can tell me that he definitely will be, no-one can know, not Fergie and not even Giggs himself. We don't know what he's like as a tactician or man manager because he hasn't had to do these things before, he's better cutting his teeth at a smaller club, if he has what it takes, bring him back as manager, if not, he'll remain a United legend with his legacy intact.

If Van Gaal is to be appointed as the new Man Utd manager, i believe that the wisest move would be to have Giggs as his assistant so that he may learn even more and would be in a far better position to take over when Van Gaal eventually makes way. At the age of 62 i do not see a very long future with him managing Man Utd. However i do not exclude the option that the class of '92 should be given the opportunity to manage the team next season. As long as there is a positive approach and performances, the road to success would not be far away.
