Shock, amazement. Player who potts 31 makes manager better. Geez, d'ya think that if I managed Real Madrid with Rono and Bale i'd be better than if I managed MK Dons. No s+++ Sherlock.

First draft of Brendan's speech. "For me, Luis is a diamond, okay. And as they say, only a diamond can cut diamond, and I am a diamond. And like Luis cut Ivanovic last year, he has cut me this year... because he is a diamond and so am I. Terrific intensity."

Didn't know it was such a bad thing for a manager to praise one of his players. You manure idiots sure are shallow.

rhysmanc, what's he supposed to do when he's receiving an award on his behalf; slag him off? Plus he really, really, really wants/needs Suarez to stay. Or you could read it as "if you can manage this nutter, you can manage any body".

lassic management. Build them up and then knock them back. Raise expectations and then dampen them. Create a dynamic where by you demand the most from your team, but where the team are given room to manoeuvre unexpected or unwanted results. Classy work by Van Gaal, he really reminds me a lot of me. A smart cookie, make no doubt.
