The Loftus Road outfit have a large squad that will further increase with a swathe of loan players coming back to the club, including Adel Taarabt and Loic Remy following the end of their deals with AC Milan and Newcastle respectively.

Green is preparing for the Championship play-off final against Derby next Saturday at the end of a season where he played all-but-one of his side's 46 league games.

That is in stark contrast to 2012-13, where he was out of the side for long stretches as Brazil international Julio Cesar got the nod from managers Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp in a campaign that ended in relegation.

"There are people at the club who are still fighting fires. Come the summer they will have a lot of headaches because of previous decisions," said Green.

"You have guys who have gone out on loan and are coming back and won't want to be at the club. The financial burden means the club will have to get them off the books asap.

"I'm not picking on people, but look at Adel, who has gone to AC Milan. Does he want to come back? If we get promoted does he want to come to a Premier League scrap when he has just cruised through a Serie A season?

"You have people like Loic, who has proved himself again at Premier League level at Newcastle. Does he want to take half a step backwards or sideways?

"They could all come back and play in a marvellous part of next season which we would welcome with open arms. But you wonder."

Green had only just swapped east London for west, following his departure from West Ham in summer 2012, when Cesar's arrival saw the pair vie for the goalkeeper's jersey.

"Last year was the worst year in 20 years of professional football for me," added the 34-year-old.

"I've been in teams that have struggled and been relegated. But I have never sat on the side and watched a team implode or disintegrate or combust into nothing when I could have helped.

"For the first time in 13 years I wasn't playing. It was tough, but you re-evaluate. You're either a man or you go off and hide."

Could have helped? yeah right, you ain't as good as Julio Cesar pal.

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
