Premier League champions City had been in discussions with Porto about a deal for Mangala during the last transfer window before abandoning their pursuit.

Reports have suggested that City remain keen on the France international, who has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

The centre-half would reportedly command a fee in the region of £35million and his Porto team-mate Fernando is also rumoured to be wanted by City.

However, with Mangala having been named in Didier Deschamps' France squad for the World Cup, the 23-year-old does not want to be distracted by speculation surrounding his future.

"My aim is the World Cup. After that, we'll see what happens," Mangala told BeinSport.

"I've told my agent that I don't want to know anything about the market before the end of the World Cup.

"Every player wants to develop at a big club. I have the opportunity to be at Porto, one of the big clubs in Europe.

"What interests me is a team that allows me to win titles. Paris St Germain is growing and I wish them a lot of success.

"Porto talked with Manchester City, but the clubs couldn't agree. We'll see what happens in the summer."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
