The Brazilian has agreed terms on a switch to Vicarage Road and will officially join the club on July 1.

The Hornets confirmed on their official website that they will also have an option to extend the 33-year-old's contract for a further 12 months.

Gomes' current deal at Spurs will expire next month, concluding a six-year stay during which he made 135 appearances.

He arrived in 2008 from PSV Eindhoven but was pushed down the pecking order by Brad Friedel and then Hugo Lloris.
