GUNNER BE SUPER MARIO?
It seems that this one could really happen, with the Daily Mirror claiming that Arsenal are willing to pay £25m for the former Manchester City striker, who is apparently very keen on returning to the Premier League. The good news for him is that AC Milan are also very keen to sell.

Monaco are also said to be interested in Balotelli - presumably as a replacement for Radamel Falcao - but the Italian is far more likely to join the Gunners. The same report says they retain an interest in Loic Remy for £10m, but the form of Joel Campbell at this World Cup could mean that Arsenal buy only one striker this summer.

LOOK AWAY NOW ARSENAL FANS
Quite why Arsenal would want players who cannot get in the Manchester United side is anybody's guess but the Daily Mirror are claiming that the Gunners might take Tom Cleverley or Chris Smalling as part of the Thomas Vermaelen deal because of Arsene Wenger's 'admiration' for the pair. Lordy.

'That could act as a potential sweetener, with the Old Trafford giants keen to do a £10million deal for Belgium World Cup defender Vermaelen,' says John Cross, who must have a bizarre definition of the word 'sweetener'.

LIVERPOOL TURN TO RODRIGUEZ
'Liverpool will consider reviving interest in Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez if they fail to agree a deal for Alberto Moreno,' says the Daily Mail, who claim that Sevilla are now asking £20m for Alberto Moreno and frankly playing silly beggars. Swiss international Rodriguez - who impressed in their opening World Cup game against Ecuador - should be a little cheaper, but we would still expect him to be close to the £20m mark.

AND THE REST

Balotelli would bang them in at Arsenal, if Wenger can tame his temperament and afford his wages. Cleverley or Smalling - no. just no.

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
