Bet it wasn't as much trouble as I was in, when she got home and read it.

@dryice fair play to you! In all fairness I felt the same about Highbury but when you were in the lower tiers of the east and west stand and all you could see were feet running around I knew then the Emirates was a good idea.

I've been a Spurs fan all my life. My dad is Orient, uncles are West Ham and cousins were Arsenal. I have never been brought up on any kind of sustained success, just a few standout successes, but have been interesting along the way. I loved our FA Cup record (grrrr Cov and Mabbuts knee), I loved hearing about the Uefa wins (a little too young) but I have more than anything loved some of the players we have obtained and the way we seem to have tried to play football. I honestly don't care if we ever win the league. If I had my way we would stay in our grotty stadium with restricted views in a shithole of London and just try and play good football with good players. I'm probably all that's wrong with modern football but Poch, give me good football and an upbeat feeling and you can stay for as long as you want. Oh, just stuff West Ham as a last season revenge and you can also have my wife.
